# Working with Launch500

This page is the policy every sponsor and partner works under. It says what money cannot buy, how a sponsor is shown, and how to start a conversation.

## What a sponsor cannot buy

Sponsors never buy a score or a place on the list.

This is an express term of every offer and applies to a sponsor or partner exactly as to a company that lists or buys a Crash Test. No payment, of any size, buys any of the following:

- A Crash Test score, or any sub-score
- Removal or editing of a published review
- A place in a category hub, comparison or 'best' list: every listed product has one, paid or not
- A position in any ranking: order within a category is by score, and paying changes no score. Nothing is paid to be shown first: there is no featured placement
- A more favourable Crash Test verdict
- Suppression of a named failure in a test report
- Access to a reviewer's identity
- A launch badge, or any award
- A place on the Launch500 list

Disclosure policy

## How a sponsor is shown

- A sponsor is named, and labelled as a sponsor, wherever its sponsorship appears.
- Every link to a sponsor is marked as sponsored, as search engines require of paid links.
- Where the sponsor shares an owner with Launch500, as 99 Data Rooms does (both are run by 99 Developers Ltd), that is said beside the link.
- Sponsorship never changes what we test, what we score or what we publish, and a sponsor gets no earlier sight of a result than any other company. The company behind the product sees the findings in its Garage and has five working days to reply once. The report is not published before then, unless it replies sooner. A company not yet on Launch500 sees them by claiming its product page. The reply never changes a score or a verdict.
