Everything we would rather you checked than took on faith.
A review site is only worth the method behind it. These pages publish ours in enough detail that you could repeat a test, recompute a score, or catch us getting one wrong, and the last of those is the point. Every score on this site links back here, not just the footer.
How we test
The scenarios every product in each category is put through, before any of them are run.
0 hours logged across 0 products, 0 failures named
How we score
Two scores, never blended, with every weight, the decay curve and the arithmetic shown.
Recency decay: full weight for 90 days, 5% by three years
How we verify reviews
Five verification tiers, what each one proves, and what a review is worth at each.
Registered-tier reviews are published and counted at zero
How we make money
Revenue by stream, what each stream can buy, and the list of things none of them can.
No revenue yet. Once there is some, the split by stream is published here.
Corrections log
Every accepted correction, what caused it, and what we changed so it does not recur.
0 published · 0 raised by readers
Transparency report
Reviews rejected and why, vendor disputes and how many we upheld, votes discarded.
Nothing to report yet. Reviews and votes are not open.
Who we are
The people who run the bench, what each of them tests, and the conflict-of-interest rules.
No tester may hold equity in, or accept work from, a vendor we cover
The short version
Four commitments, in one place
- 01
Money cannot buy a score, a ranking, a removal or a place on the list.
The code that computes scores is not allowed to read offers, payments or vendor records, and a build check enforces it. A listing buys a page; a Crash Test buys the test, and a pass makes a product eligible for the annual list, never selected.

Launch votes and verified reviews never mix.
Launch-day enthusiasm decides who gets attention this week. Verified reviews decide who still looks good next year. Points and boosts move the first and can never touch the second.
See how - 03
Every published review has a substantive cons section.
A review without one is sent back once, and is not published until it has one. Negative reviews are never hidden, reordered or removed, and a vendor gets exactly one labelled public response.

We publish our mistakes with our name on them.
Every correction is logged in public with the date, what was wrong, who raised it and what we changed so it does not happen again.

Think we have something wrong?
Send it to corrections@launch500.com with a dated source. Readers raised 0 of our 0 published corrections, and vendors raised one that moved a score in their favour. We publish the ones that make us look bad in exactly the same place as the ones that do not.
